What’s variegation?

What’s variegation?

The white spots in some plants are called “variegation”.

Variegation is the appearance of differently colored zones in the leaves, and sometimes the stems, of plants. For some plants, this is very natural, like in Schefflera (umbrella plant) and this is not a sign of sickness.

Just remember: umbrella plants require bright and indirect light and generous watering when the soil is dry.

Make sure the pot has drainage holes so that excess water can escape.
